    \u2192 an expert body tasked with ensuring and improving the quality of study for students with disabilities, that is, ensuring equal study opportunities for current and prospective students with disabilities at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek<\/p>\n

    – selects student assistants<\/p>\n

    – develops plans and strategies for ensuring and improving the quality of study for students with disabilities and ensuring equal study opportunities for students with disabilities<\/p>\n

    – provides opinions and recommendations on appropriate adjustments to the teaching process, materials, premises and services with the aim of ensuring equal study opportunities for students with disabilities.<\/p>\n

    – cooperates with students with disabilities, their assistants and the Faculty\u2019s teaching and non-teaching staff in resolving specific problems that may arise during their studies<\/p>\n

    – systematically evaluates the support system for students with disabilities and, in accordance with the results, works on improving it (design a survey for students with disabilities)<\/p>\n

    – prepares informative and educational materials for students with disabilities<\/p>\n

    – organises educational activities for teaching and non-teaching staff related to ensuring equal study opportunities for students with disabilities<\/p>\n

    – works on raising awareness within the academic community of the needs of students with disabilities and improving attitudes towards persons with disabilities<\/p>\n

    – cooperates with Faculty and University bodies on matters relating to support, protection and equal study opportunities for students with disabilities<\/p>\n

    – informs and advises secondary school students with disabilities who express an intention to continue their education at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek<\/p>\n

    Who are students with disabilities?<\/strong><\/p>\n

    As part of its support for students with disabilities and in accordance with the registration form<\/a>, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek adopts the definition from the Guidelines for Improving the Support System for Students with Disabilities in Higher Education in the Republic of Croatia<\/a>. Page 4 of these Guidelines states:<\/p>\n

    \u201c\u2026students with disabilities are all students who, due to<\/p>\n
