My English language studies provided me with a high level of language competence, while my pedagogy studies gave me an in-depth understanding of child development and modern teaching methods. My education at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek prepared me well for working with English and German and gave me confidence in my abilities. This was particularly true of the graduate translation programme, which provided me with a solid foundation for the work I do today. I am immensely grateful for the simultaneous and consecutive interpreting courses, practical field interpreting experience, written translation courses, visits to interpreting facilities and opportunities to attend conferences involving interpreting.<\/em><\/p>\n

My education at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek gave me a solid foundation in linguistics, literature and teaching methodology. This helped me not only in my teaching work, but also in developing the broader cultural and linguistic sensitivity required to work in a multilingual environment. Studying at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek consolidated and expanded my professional English language skills, while studying philosophy greatly developed my critical thinking and my ability to express that thinking through reasoned arguments. It also significantly broadened my knowledge of the entire spectrum of the social sciences and humanities. A sound knowledge of political and legal philosophy and the European tradition made it easier for me to navigate professional situations, deliver presentations and attend interviews in Brussels.<\/em><\/p>\n
