On December 6, 2022, the Center for North American Studies of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Osijek and the Center for American Studies of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Belgrade co-organized a Zoom panel titled \u201cYou Can\u2019t Be Neutral on a Moving Train\u201d to mark the centenary of Howard Zinn\u2019s birth. The featured speakers were Dr. Branimir Jankovi\u0107 (University of Zagreb), Dr. Vjeran Pavlakovi\u0107 (University of Rijeka), Dr. Luka Peji\u0107 (University of Osijek), and Dr. Vuka\u0161in Zori\u0107 (University of Belgrade). On May 19, 2022, students taking Multicultural Literature in English and American Indian Literature had a unique opportunity to virtually meet Jamie K. Oxendine, member of the Lumbee tribe of North Carolina, who gave an interesting talk and introduced them to remarkable designs and body decoration of the South East Woodland Native Americans of natural, animal, and spiritual origins. The event was organized by Dr. Sanja Runti\u0107.<\/span><\/p>\n
