Prof. Alma Van\u010dura, PhD, gave an invited lecture at the Department of Phonetics of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb on 16 February 2023 entitled Digital Rhetoric as a Means of Political Communication<\/li>\n<li>From 22 to 25 January 2024, Assoc. Prof. Jasna Poljak Rehlicki, PhD, organized the lecture \u201cRadical Imaginations: Contemporary Native Arts and Cultures\u201d on 10 November 2023, delivered by Prof. Timothy Petete, PhD, from the University of Central Oklahoma.<\/li>\n<li>Prof. Gabrijela Buljan, PhD, gave a public popular-science lecture on 26 October 2023 as part of the science popularization project of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek (FUZ&amp;JA), entitled \u201cKeeping Up with the Times: Word Formation between the World and the Internet\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Prof. Biljana Oklop\u010di\u0107, PhD, participated in the \u201cMedia Literacy Cafe\u201d panel on 28 June 2023 as part of the Media Education Matters project at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek.<\/li>\n<li>Prof. Tanja Grade\u010dak, PhD, held the Fake News Fighters workshop during the FFOS Open Week on 25 May 2023.<\/li>\n<li>Prof. Biljana Oklop\u010di\u0107, PhD, participated in a panel discussion entitled \u201cDifferent Perceptions of Love\u201d on 15 March 2023 as part of the Art of Love project at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek.<\/li>\n<li>Prof. Tanja Grade\u010dak, PhD, held the Fake News Fighters workshop during FFOS Science Week on 10 February 2023.<\/li>\n<li>In cooperation with students, from 2016 to 2023 Asst. Prof. Dra\u017eenka Molnar, PhD, participated in the \u201cLanguage Weekend\u201d project at Dragutin Tadijanovi\u0107 Primary School in Vukovar, contributing to the organization, preparation and implementation of thematic English-language workshops for pupils from grades 2 to 8.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Asst. Prof. Biljana Oklop\u010di\u0107, PhD, and collaborator Kristina Bo\u017ei\u0107 held the workshop \u201cCreative Writing as a Method of Feminist Pedagogy\u201d on 10 February 2022 as part of Science Week at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek.<\/li>\n<li>Assoc. Prof. Ljubica Matek, PhD, Valentina Markasovi\u0107, Jelena Pataki \u0160umiga, PhD, and Zvonimir Prtenja\u010da presented the poster \u201cIs Everything Really Awesome? The Lego Movie as a Dystopian Parody\u201d during Science Week, held from 7 to 11 February 2022.<\/li>\n<li>Asst. Prof. Jasna Poljak Rehlicki, PhD, organized the lecture \u201cWriting a True Story: Memory, Narrative, and the Experience of Writing\u201d, delivered by Dr Robert Yagelski from the University at Albany, United States of America.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Jelena Pataki \u0160umiga, PhD, is the coordinator of FUZ&amp;JA, FFOS&#8217;s science popularization project (March 2022 \u2013 September 2026), responsible for coordinating the activities of all sub-cycles, moderating Open Thursday, preparing written reports and media announcements.<\/li>\n<li>From 2016 to 2020, Jasna Poljak, PhD, as Chair of the Committee for the Organization and Implementation of the Open Thursday science popularization project, organized a total of 32 popular-science lectures and launched the Open Thursday YouTube channel: https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCb1z3cV_K-lzuc9VzdHcB-Q<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2026.
