The overarching theme of the series was <strong>\u201cIs there a place for social sciences and humanities professionals in the IT world?\u201d<\/strong>, and the events focused on exploring opportunities for professional engagement, employment and interdisciplinary collaboration between experts in the social sciences and humanities and the IT sector.<\/p>\n<p>The series featured <strong>Boris Rau\u0161<\/strong> from Bamboo Lab, <strong>Marin Sele\u0161<\/strong> from \u010cas posla design &amp; copywrite and the Open University, <strong>Assistant Professor Tomislav Jakopec, PhD<\/strong> from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek, as well as <strong>Davor Banovi\u0107<\/strong> from Shoutem and <strong>Marko Marincel<\/strong> from Factory. Their lectures addressed the application of social sciences and humanities knowledge in digital and technological environments, opportunities for cooperation between the academic and business sectors, and the development of competencies relevant to the contemporary labour market.<\/p>\n<p>All lectures in the first series were held via the Zoom online platform, and the event moderators were <strong>Sergej Filipovi\u0107<\/strong>, <strong>Hrvoje Potlimbrzovi\u0107<\/strong>, <strong>Demian Papo<\/strong> and <strong>Nemanja Spasenovski<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>1) The first lecture in the <strong><em>scientific inter_view<\/em><\/strong> series, on the topic <strong>\u00bbIs there a place for social sciences and humanities professionals in the IT world?\u00ab<\/strong>, was organized by the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek.
