The overarching theme of the series was <strong>\u201cWhat is the role of social sciences and humanities professionals in civil society organizations?\u201d<\/strong>, and the events focused on exploring opportunities for engagement, employment and professional contribution of social sciences and humanities professionals in the civil society sector.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The series featured <strong>Professor Sini\u0161a Zrin\u0161\u010dak, PhD<\/strong> from the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb, <strong>Mislav Mati\u0161i\u0107<\/strong> from the Kara\u0161icka Republika Association, <strong>Mirna \u0160ostarko<\/strong> from DKolektiv \u2013 Organization for Social Development and the Croatian Volunteer Development Centre, <strong>Mirela Pa\u0161i\u0107<\/strong> from SOS Rijeka \u2013 Centre for Nonviolence and Human Rights, <strong>Irena Mikuli\u0107<\/strong> from the PRONI Centre for Social Education, <strong>Ivana \u0160ibali\u0107<\/strong> from the Breza Youth Association, <strong>Josipa Mamu\u017ei\u0107<\/strong> from the Klikeraj Association, and <strong>Sonja Kersten<\/strong> from the MSvijet Mediation Centre.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The four lectures addressed the relationship between the social sciences and humanities and civil society, youth work, volunteering, nonviolence, mediation, human rights and social development. The series highlighted the importance of social sciences and humanities professionals in developing programmes, projects and initiatives that respond to different community needs. All lectures were held via the Zoom online platform, and the event moderators were <strong>Juraj Jurlina<\/strong>, <strong>Hrvoje Potlimbrzovi\u0107<\/strong>, <strong>Nemanja Spasenovski<\/strong> and <strong>Demian Papo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>1) The first lecture in the second <em><strong>scientific inter_view<\/strong><\/em> series, on the topic <strong>\u00bbWhat is the role of social sciences and humanities professionals in civil society organizations?\u00ab<\/strong>, was organized by the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek. The lecture was delivered by <strong>Professor Sini\u0161a Zrin\u0161\u010dak, PhD<\/strong> (<strong>Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb; Scientific Committee, EU Agency for Human Rights<\/strong>) and <strong>Mislav Mati\u0161i\u0107, MA in Education (Geography and History)<\/strong> (<strong>Kara\u0161icka Republika Association<\/strong>) on 28 April 2021 (Wednesday), beginning at 5:00 p.m., via the Zoom online platform.
