Notice on the First Enrolment Period in the 2025\/2026 Academic Year<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek is organising the first enrolment period for the Croatian Language and Language Culture<\/strong> programme in the 2025\/2026 academic year. Applications and enrolment for the first cycle begin on 1 September 2025<\/strong> and end on 30 November 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The main aim of the Programme is to contribute to and promote the culture of the Croatian language, that is, to improve and enhance Croatian language culture in both written and spoken communication by enabling participants to produce linguistically correct and stylistically diverse texts in Croatian. The Programme is delivered in two modules, basic and advanced.<\/p>\n

The basic<\/strong> <\/span>module<\/strong> <\/span>is intended for all members of the wider community who have completed at least a four-year secondary school programme and\/or PPDM training. The Programme is open to employees of public, state-owned and private companies and institutions, as well as to anyone who encounters language-related issues in their everyday work and is interested in improving the linguistic quality of various types of texts (scholarly and professional papers, newspaper articles, official correspondence, requests, decisions, rulings, contracts, letters, etc.), thereby contributing to the professionalism of their business activities. The Programme is intended for translators, journalists, editors, teaching and non-teaching staff at all educational institutions \u2013 kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, foreign language schools, faculties, universities, universities of applied sciences and other educational institutions \u2013 as well as employees of various other institutions, advertising agencies, media organisations, law firms, etc.<\/p>\n

The advanced<\/strong> module<\/strong> is intended for participants who have completed a study programme in Croatian Language and Literature under the pre-Bologna system, as well as participants who have completed an undergraduate or graduate study programme in Croatian Language and Literature under the Bologna system, with the aim of further developing their professional language competences for proofreading and copy-editing work.<\/p>\n

The Programme carries 10 ECTS credits<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Each module comprises 80 contact hours. Classes will be held in person at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek and\/or online in virtual classrooms (BigBlueButton).<\/p>\n

The following documents must be submitted with the enrolment application:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Application documents should be sent by e-mail to the Programme Coordinator, Assoc. Prof. Maja Glu\u0161ac, PhD (mglusac@ffos.hr<\/a>).<\/p>\n

    The Programme fee per module is EUR 400, HRK 3,013.60. The Programme fee also includes the issuance of a certificate of completion of the Croatian Language and Language Culture Programme. The minimum number of participants per module is 6<\/strong>. If a sufficient number of participants does not enrol, classes for the respective module will not be held in the current academic year.<\/p>\n

    The Programme fee is payable within 8 days of receipt of the invoice sent to the participant\u2019s home\/e-mail address, to the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences IBAN: HR8423600001102484368, payment reference number \u2013 the participant\u2019s OIB or the number stated on the invoice.<\/p>\n

    The class schedule will be published on the Croatian Language and Language Culture<\/em> Programme website before classes begin.<\/p>\n
