As part of the Erasmus+ TELL (Trans-European Learning Library) programme, the Osijek Winter School 2026 (OWS) was held at our Faculty from 18 to 20 February 2026. The event brought together 35 participants from Croatia and abroad, including Romania, Greece, Italy, Bulgaria, and Portugal. Members of our Library staff also took part: Izabela \u0160ipo\u0161, PhD, Bernardica Pla\u0161\u0107ak, and Head of the Library Kristina Ki\u0161.
\nOn the first day of the Winter School, invited lectures were delivered by Ioana Crihana (Romania), Evi Tramantza (Greece), Mauro Bruno (Italy), Dragos Adrian Neagu (Romania), Robert Fritz (Croatia), Iva Bun\u010di\u0107 (Croatia), Anamarija Deli\u0107 (Croatia), Marin Sele\u0161 (Croatia), and Giuseppe Vitiello (Italy).
\nDuring the following two days, workshops were held with an emphasis on developing project ideas and preparing documentation for European funding applications. The workshops were led by Renata \u0106urkovi\u0107 (Croatia). Participants acquired various knowledge and skills required for the preparation and implementation of projects funded by the European Union.
\nThe Osijek Winter School was organised by members of the Department of Information Sciences: Prof. Sanjica Faletar, PhD, Prof. Anita Papi\u0107, PhD, Ines Hocenski, PhD, Senior Assistant, and Mirna Gilman Ranogajec, Assistant.
\nPartner institutions also participated in organising the event: the Croatian Library Association, ANBPR (Romanian Library Association), Rete delle Reti di biblioteche italiane (Italian Library Network Agency), International Hellenic University \u2013 IHU (Greece), Global Libraries \u2013 Bulgaria Foundation, Biblioth\u00e8que publique d\u2019information (France), and Comunidade Intermunicipal do M\u00e9dio Tejo (Portugal).
\nGraduate students from the Department of Information Sciences also contributed to the organisation of the Osijek Winter School as part of their project work.
\nOur Library staff learned about opportunities to apply for projects funded by the European Union and gained insight into the entire preparation and application process\u2014from developing a project idea and collaborating with other libraries to collecting and preparing the required documentation.<\/p>\n
