On 29 April 2026, from 10:35 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in Room 32, Assoc. Prof. Miroslav Pavlovi\u0107, PhD, from the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad, delivered a lecture as part of the elective course \u201cCroatian Lands under Ottoman Rule\u201d. The lecture was intended for first-year students of the double-major graduate study programme in History, as well as all other interested students and Faculty staff. The lecture was entitled The Middle Danube Region under Ottoman Rule<\/em>. The lecturer presented his research into various aspects of Ottoman rule in the Middle Danube region, encompassing parts of present-day Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary and Serbia. During the lecture, he engaged students in a discussion on conditions in the Ottoman provinces located in the territory of present-day Croatia and explained how the Ottoman Empire influenced their social and economic development during the early modern period. Following the highly inspiring and engaging lecture, the students and faculty members in attendance asked the guest lecturer several questions about the topics discussed.<\/p>\n
