On 26 March 2026, from 12:20 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in room 96, as part of the compulsory course \u201cWorld History of the Early Modern Period\u201d for second-year students of the double-major undergraduate study programme in History, as well as for all other interested students and Faculty staff, a lecture was delivered by Scientific Adviser Teodora Shek Brnardi\u0107, PhD, from the Croatian Institute of History in Zagreb. The lecture was entitled HRZZ Project \u201cBetween Knowledge and Ignorance\u201d and Keywords of the Enlightenment in the Croatian Lands<\/em>. The lecturer spoke about her leadership of a research project funded by the Croatian Science Foundation and about research into written sources from the 18th century in the Croatian lands, focusing on the influence of Enlightenment ideas on the social and overall development of the Croatian lands during that period. During the lecture, she engaged students in a discussion on Croatian Enlightenment aspirations in the 18th century and explained how Enlightenment ideas influenced the work of Croatian intellectuals of the time. Following the highly engaging lecture, the students and faculty members in attendance asked the guest lecturer several questions.<\/p>\n
