NOTICE OF THE SELECTED CANDIDATE FOR THE CALL FOR APPLICATIONS PUBLISHED ON 1 APRIL 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

Based on the Call for Applications published on 1 April 2026 in the Official Gazette, No. 34\/2026, on the websites of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek, on the official job portal of the European Research Area, and on the notice boards and website of the Croatian Employment Service, Osijek Regional Office, for the selection of one employee to the vacant Type I scientific-teaching position of Assistant Professor in the scientific area of the humanities, scientific field of philosophy (scientific branches of logic and history of philosophy), for an indefinite period and on a full-time basis at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, a constituent unit of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, the selection procedure for the said position was conducted.<\/p>\n

At its session held on 10 June 2026, the Faculty Council of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek adopted the Decision approving the positive Opinion of the Expert Committee on the fulfilment of the criteria for appointment to the said position, proposing the appointment of Hrvoje Potlimbrzovi\u0107, PhD, to the vacant scientific-teaching position of Assistant Professor in the scientific area of the humanities, scientific field of philosophy (scientific branches of logic and history of philosophy), for an indefinite period and on a full-time basis at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, a constituent unit of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek (CLASS: 112-02\/26-02\/20, REG. NO.: 2158-83-06-26-16).<\/p>\n

The Field Committee for the Humanities \u2013 fields of philosophy, theology and religious studies adopted a Decision (CLASS: UP\/I-640-03\/26-31\/00006, REG. NO.: 533-30-04-26-0002) establishing that the proposed candidate, Hrvoje Potlimbrzovi\u0107, PhD, meets the statutory requirements for appointment. The said Decision of the Field Committee was entered into the official registry of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek on 29 July 2026.<\/p>\n

All applicants must meet the general requirements stipulated by the Labour Act (\u201cOfficial Gazette\u201d Nos. 93\/14, 127\/17, 98\/19, 151\/22, 46\/23 and 64\/23).<\/p>\n

Applicants <\/strong>must meet the general requirements stipulated by Article 39, paragraph 1 and Article 40 of the Higher Education and Scientific Activity Act (\u201cOfficial Gazette\u201d No. 119\/2022), as well as the special requirements stipulated by the Decision of the Rectors’ Conference on the Necessary Requirements for the Evaluation of Teaching and Professional Activities in the Procedure for Appointment to Scientific-Teaching Titles, Article 123, paragraph 1 and Article 124 of the Statute of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Article 47, paragraph 1 and Article 48 of the Statute of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek, and the special requirements stipulated by Article 9 of the Regulations on the Procedure for Appointment\/Reappointment to Scientific-Teaching, Artistic-Teaching, Teaching, Associate and Professional Positions at Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek.<\/p>\n

Applicants <\/strong>must submit an application for the Call for Applications together with the mandatory documentation in accordance with the prescribed application form, Form No. 1<\/strong> \u2013 appointment to a scientific-teaching position, published on the Faculty’s website (link: https:\/\/www.ffos.unios.hr\/dokumenti\/<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The Higher Education and Scientific Activity Act, the Statute of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, the Statute of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek, and the Regulations on the Procedure for Appointment\/Reappointment to Scientific-Teaching, Artistic-Teaching, Teaching, Associate and Professional Positions at Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek are published on the Faculty’s website (link: https:\/\/www.ffos.unios.hr\/dokumenti\/).<\/p>\n

Applicants<\/strong> are required to submit their application and evidence demonstrating fulfilment of the criteria electronically in PDF format.<\/p>\n

Applicants claiming the right of priority in employment pursuant to special regulations \u2013 the Croatian Homeland War Veterans and Members of Their Families Act (\u201cOfficial Gazette\u201d Nos. 121\/17, 98\/19 and 84\/21), Article 48 of the Civilian Homeland War Victims Act (\u201cOfficial Gazette\u201d No. 84\/21), Article 48.f of the Act on the Protection of Military and Civilian War Invalids (\u201cOfficial Gazette\u201d Nos. 33\/92, 57\/92, 77\/92, 27\/93, 58\/93, 2\/94, 76\/94, 108\/95, 108\/96, 82\/01, 103\/03, 148\/13 and 98\/19), and Article 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities (\u201cOfficial Gazette\u201d Nos. 157\/13, 152\/14, 39\/18 and 32\/20) \u2013 are required to invoke this right in their application and enclose all evidence prescribed by the relevant special regulations for exercising that right. Such applicants shall have priority over other applicants only under equal conditions. For applicants invoking the right of priority in employment pursuant to the Croatian Homeland War Veterans and Members of Their Families Act (\u201cOfficial Gazette\u201d Nos. 121\/17, 98\/19 and 84\/21) and the Civilian Homeland War Victims Act (\u201cOfficial Gazette\u201d No. 84\/21), the list of evidence required to exercise this right is available via the following link of the Ministry of Croatian Veterans: https:\/\/branitelji.gov.hr\/zaposljavanje-843\/843<\/p>\n

Applicants invoking the right of priority in employment pursuant to Article 9 of the Act on<\/p>\n

Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities (\u201cOfficial Gazette\u201d Nos. 157\/13, 152\/14, 39\/18 and 32\/20) are required to invoke this right in their application and submit all evidence demonstrating that they meet the required conditions, as well as proof of disability.<\/p>\n

By applying to the Call for Applications, each applicant gives consent for all personal data contained in the application documentation to be collected and processed for the purpose of conducting the selection procedure, in accordance with the regulations governing the protection of personal data, in particular Regulation (EU) 2016\/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95\/46\/EC (General Data Protection Regulation). Each applicant is required to submit a signed and completed Form 9 (CONSENT), published on the website of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek (link: https:\/\/www.ffos.unios.hr\/dokumenti\/). An application submitted without a duly completed and signed Consent Form shall be considered incomplete and shall be rejected.<\/p>\n

All applicants will be notified of the results of the Call for Applications no later than fifteen (15) days from the date of completion of the selection procedure. The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek reserves the right to notify all applicants by email.<\/p>\n

Persons of both sexes may apply under equal conditions. Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.<\/p>\n

Only persons who submit a timely and complete application and meet the formal requirements of the Call for Applications shall be considered applicants.<\/p>\n

An application shall be considered complete if it contains all information and attachments specified in this Call for Applications and is personally signed by the applicant who submitted it.<\/p>\n

The Call for Applications is open for thirty (30) days from the date of publication.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Applications with evidence demonstrating fulfilment of the requirements of the Call for Applications must be submitted electronically within the specified deadlines to: pisarnica@ffos.hr.<\/p>\n
