Ma\u0142gorzata Sabina Stanisz Han\u017eek, Polish language lecturer at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek, organised an informal gathering and Polish language workshop at the Faculty on 15 May 2026. The gathering was attended by Faculty students, as well as Emilia Bala, Counsellor-Consul at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Croatia, and residents of Osijek and the surrounding area of Polish origin. By playing various board games and listening to music in Polish, participants had the opportunity to experience what it means to acquire a language in a natural way. Spontaneous activities and a relaxed atmosphere make it easier and more effective to remember foreign vocabulary and grammatical rules. In addition to the activities mentioned, participants also had the opportunity to taste Polish sweets and thus become acquainted with another aspect of Polish culture alongside the language. The organised workshop and gathering represent a fun and creative approach to foreign language acquisition. We look forward to future meetings and gatherings!<\/p>\n
