The lecture is open to the public and will be held in the <strong>Great Ceremonial Hall<\/strong> <strong>(60)<\/strong> of the <strong>Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences<\/strong> (Lorenza J\u00e4gera 9) at <strong>6:00 p.m.<\/strong> Join us!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ABOUT THE LECTURE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Who are quiz players, why are they the way they are, and what makes a good quiz player? Is it a talent you are born with or a skill that can be developed? Despite common assumptions that quiz players are simply nerds with photographic memories and a wealth of facts that are useless in real life, this lecture will aim to show how the quiz mindset is generally a good habit and a useful tool for navigating today\u2019s world. Through the story of her own quiz and professional journey, Morana Zibar will seek to bring the value of knowledge and general culture closer to a wider audience, while perhaps also opening up some new perspectives for students on personal development and career opportunities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ABOUT THE SPEAKER<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Morana Zibar<\/strong> graduated in English Language and Literature and Croatian Language and Literature from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb, and earned a master\u2019s degree in Comparative Literature. After working in tourism, she turned to translation, writing and proofreading as a freelance professional. Today, she is best known as a Chaser on HRT\u2019s quiz show <em>Potjera<\/em>, and for years she has been an active participant in numerous television and pub quizzes in Croatia.
