to Candidates for the Call for Applications for the Appointment of One Employee to a Type I Position \u2013 Associate Position of Assistant in the Scientific Area of Social Sciences, Scientific Field of Information Sciences, on a Fixed-Term and Full-Time Basis at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Candidates who applied for the appointment of<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>one employee to a Type I position \u2013 associate position of Assistant in the scientific area of social sciences, scientific field of information sciences, on a fixed-term and full-time basis at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">under the call published on 7 November 2025 are hereby informed that interviews with candidates who have qualified for the second stage of the selection process will be held on Wednesday, 17 December, in Room 92 of Scientific Area of Social Sciences, Scientific Field of Information Sciences, on a Fixed-Term and Full-Time Basis at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>FACULTY OF HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES IN OSIJEK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>announces a<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>CALL FOR APPLICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>for the appointment of<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>one employee to a Type I position \u2013 associate position of Assistant in the scientific area of social sciences, scientific field of information sciences, on a fixed-term and full-time basis at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">All applicants must meet the general requirements prescribed by the Labour Act (Official Gazette Nos. 93\/14, 127\/17, 98\/19, 151\/22, 46\/23 and 64\/23).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Applicants<\/strong> must meet the general requirements prescribed by Article 39, paragraph 6, and Article 40 of the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (Official Gazette No. 119\/2022), Article 123, paragraph 4, and Article 124 of the Statute of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Article 47, paragraph 3, and Article 48 of the Statute of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek, as well as the requirements prescribed by Article 26 of the Regulations on the Implementation of the Procedure for Appointment\/Reappointment to Scientific-Teaching, Artistic-Teaching, Teaching, Associate and Professional Positions at Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Applicants<\/strong> must submit their application together with the required supporting documentation using the prescribed application form, <strong>Form No. 4<\/strong> \u2013 for appointment to the associate position of Assistant, published on the Faculty\u2019s website (link: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ffos.hr\/\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/www.ffos.hr\/<\/a> About Us \/ Documents \/ Requirements for Academic Promotion \/ Regulations).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Applicants<\/strong> are required to submit their application and evidence of meeting the selection criteria in electronic form.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Applicants<\/strong> who meet the formal requirements of the call and have submitted their application and evidence of meeting the selection criteria in electronic form must attend an assessment\/interview before the Committee, constituting the second stage of the selection procedure. They will be informed of the place and time of the assessment\/interview via the website of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek: www.ffos.unios.hr. Applicants who do not attend the assessment\/interview will be deemed to have withdrawn their application and will no longer be considered candidates in the selection procedure.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>All applicants<\/strong> must enclose a completed and signed <strong>Consent Form (Form No. 9)<\/strong>, published on the Faculty\u2019s website: https:\/\/www.ffos.unios.hr\/o-nama\/dokumenti.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Persons of all genders may apply under equal conditions. Only persons who submit a complete application within the prescribed deadline and meet the formal requirements of the call will be considered candidates.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A complete application is one that contains all the information and supporting documents specified in this call and is signed by hand by the applicant. Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Applicants who are entitled to priority in employment under a special law must invoke this right in their application and enclose documents proving the status on which their right to priority is based, a certificate issued by the Croatian Employment Service during the period in which this call is open as proof of their unemployment status, and evidence showing how their employment with their most recent employer ended. Priority over other applicants applies only under equal conditions. The list of evidence required to exercise the right to priority in employment is available on the website of the Ministry of Croatian Veterans: https:\/\/branitelji.gov.hr\/zaposljavanje-843\/843<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Applicants who are foreign nationals must enclose proof of Croatian language proficiency at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages with their application.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The call for applications is open for thirty (30) days from the date of publication.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">All applicants will be informed of the results of the call no later than fifteen (15) days after the completion of the candidate selection procedure via the website of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek: www.ffos.unios.hr. The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek reserves the right to notify all applicants by email as well.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Applications with evidence of meeting the requirements of the call<\/strong> must be submitted electronically within the prescribed deadline to: pisarnica@ffos.hr.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u2013 with the subject line \u201cApplication \u2013 Vacant Associate Position of Assistant in the Scientific Area of Social Sciences, Scientific Field of Information Sciences\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By submitting an application, each applicant consents to the collection and processing of all personal data contained in their application documentation for the purpose of conducting the selection procedure, in accordance with regulations governing the protection of personal data, in particular Regulation (EU) 2016\/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95\/46\/EC (General Data Protection Regulation).
