About the association
The Psychology Students’ Club at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek (PSIHOS) is a student association founded by psychology students of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek on 27 June 2005.
Our aim is to provide students with opportunities to develop their experience and knowledge through voluntary activities and the implementation of their own ideas, improve their understanding of themselves, other people, society and psychology in general. We seek to help combat misconceptions about mental health and raise public awareness of its importance.
Activities through which we achieve our objectives include:
• projects such as Beyond Prejudice – aimed at raising awareness of mental health and reducing stigma,
• the Running for Mental Health race,
• participation in conferences, particularly the Student Subconference,
• Coffee with a Psychologist – gatherings at which students meet invited psychology professionals,
• designing and delivering workshops and lectures – educational content for students and the general public,
• Psychology Week – participation in the national celebration of psychology through numerous activities,
• preparation courses for the state graduation examination in psychology – free educational support for secondary school graduates,
• the Be My Buddy programme – connecting senior and junior students to facilitate their adjustment to university,
• humanitarian activities organised by the Agents of Kindness section,
• a podcast and active publishing on social media (Facts, Women Psychologists and others),
• a freshmen’s party, quizzes and team-building gatherings for members,
• the creation of free materials, exchanges and cooperation with other student associations.

About the association
The Association of Pedagogy Students at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek (USPOS) brings together students from all years of study with the aim of promoting the pedagogy profession, professional development and active participation in society. USPOS organises workshops, lectures, conferences, quizzes, team-building events and volunteering activities, creating opportunities for the exchange of knowledge and experience among students, teachers and professionals. Particular emphasis is placed on cooperation with educational institutions and the local community, enabling students to apply theory in practice. The Association publishes the student journal Didaskalos and produces the Pedagoški puls podcast, through which its members share professional content, experiences and current topics in pedagogy. USPOS promotes education, solidarity and cooperation and strives to create a supportive and engaged student community that contributes to the development of a better and more inclusive society.

About the association
The “Libros” Information Sciences Students’ Club is a student association founded in 2003 at the Department of Information Sciences of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek. It was established with the aim of bringing together and engaging students of information science, information technology and publishing through various extracurricular activities. The Association has approximately ten members, including students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programmes. It is particularly active in organising conferences such as InfoDASKA and KulenDayz, Lego robotics workshops such as RoboCode and Spike Prime, humanitarian projects and professional initiatives in the local community. Since 2009, it has also published the student journal Libros, which received the Rector’s Award in 2018. Membership is voluntary and open to all interested students, with an emphasis on promoting librarianship, information sciences and diverse ideas through democratic and public activities.

About the association
The Glotta Student Association is a non-profit organisation founded by students of English Language and Literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek. The Association aims to popularise the learning of the English language and Anglophone culture and to promote the activities of the Department of English Language and Literature. Through various activities, the Association’s members develop their communication, organisational and social skills and help create a Faculty community in which all students and enthusiasts of the English language and literature can fulfil their potential. The Association achieves its objectives by raising awareness of the importance of foreign-language learning and communicative competence, both within and beyond the academic community; cooperating with the Department of English Language and Literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek; cooperating with other Faculty associations and organisations outside the Faculty; encouraging members to organise or participate in seminars and conferences; and organising humanitarian activities in accordance with the Association’s Statute.

The ISHA Osijek History Students’ Association organises student conferences at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek and continuously publishes the journal Essehist. ISHA is also involved in humanitarian work and cooperates with other associations at the Faculty. Its members organise public discussions with professors from the Department of History and participate as organisers and moderators at presentations of scholarly publications.

About the association
The SociOS Sociology Students’ Association was founded at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek and began operating in 2021 following the adoption of its Statute and the definition of its principal objectives. The Association’s main objective is to promote sociology as a science in cooperation with the Department of Sociology, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek and other organisations throughout the Republic of Croatia. SociOS is active in the fields of education, politics, culture and upbringing, as well as in all creative and scholarly areas of learning and research. Through its work, the Association seeks to popularise sociology and make it recognisable and interesting to the wider public. The Hungaricum Association of Hungarian Language and Literature Students is a dynamic community dedicated to promoting the Hungarian language and culture among students. It was established with the aim of preserving and sharing the rich heritage of the Hungarian language and literature.
The principal mission of Hungaricum is to foster understanding, appreciation and interest in the Hungarian language among students, regardless of their previous experience with the language. About the association
The Literary Club of Students and Teachers of the Department of German Language and Literature brings together students and teachers interested in the German language, literature and culture. The Club organises a variety of activities, ranging from themed film evenings and pub quizzes to board game evenings, with the aim of encouraging creativity, developing linguistic and literary competencies and strengthening the sense of community among its members. All activities take place in German and in the spirit of the cultures of German-speaking regions, encouraging the active use of the language and familiarising participants with the diversity of German cultural heritage. Club gatherings are held in a relaxed atmosphere and often include a raffle and informal socialising after the main event, creating opportunities for learning, exchanging ideas and having fun.
ALEPH Student Literary Club
The ALEPH Student Literary Club was founded in 2005. The Club’s objectives are to develop and promote culture among students; support the fulfilment of students’ educational, social, cultural and other interests; contribute to the quality of study programmes; uphold students’ rights and freedoms; participate in the work of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek; and establish connections and cooperation with other student and similar organisations at the Faculty, the University and beyond, both in Croatia and internationally. The Club also assists students in exercising their rights by facilitating communication between students and the governing bodies of universities and other institutions. It organises gatherings, seminars and similar events, as well as professional excursions and trips aimed at promoting culture. The Club’s fundamental principles are respect for the diversity of views, thoughts and ideas, freedom of choice, organisational independence, openness and democratic expression, and individual and organisational responsibility for its work.

The logOS Philosophy Students’ Association (USF logOS) was established with the aim of promoting, developing and improving academic and cultural activities both within and beyond the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, as well as promoting student activism.
The activities through which the Association achieves its objectives include:
– assisting students in exercising their rights by facilitating communication between students and the governing bodies of universities and other institutions;

– organising professional excursions and study trips related to the field in accordance with the law;
