Digital Competences in Education Programme (DIKOBRAZ)
The Digital Competences in Education programme is intended for primary and secondary school teachers, as well as other individuals who wish to acquire, improve or further develop the digital competences required for teaching.
The main objective of the lifelong learning programme Digital Competences in Education is to enable participants to acquire specific knowledge, skills and abilities in programming and the application of digital tools in a multimedia educational environment.
The general and specific knowledge, abilities and skills that can be acquired through the Digital Competences in Education programme include:
- enabling participants to independently and effectively implement the teaching process in a multimedia environment
- understanding and applying acquired digital competences in communication, evaluation and assessment in distance learning
- designing effective teaching strategies using digital tools in education.
The Digital Competences in Education programme is open to:
- applicants who have completed a four-year or five-year university graduate programme under the previous system or under the new Bologna system, as well as a two-year graduate programme under the Bologna system or a programme designed as an integrated study programme under the Bologna system
- applicants who have completed an undergraduate university or professional study programme and obtained a minimum of 180 ECTS credits
- applicants who have completed secondary education (vocational teachers and teaching associates in vocational education institutions).
The Digital Competences in Education programme lasts one academic year. During the first semester, participants acquire fundamental theoretical and practical knowledge through compulsory and elective courses. During the second semester, participants deepen their theoretical and practical knowledge and experience through the compulsory course Digital Practice in School. The total number of hours of instruction is 100, comprising 64 hours of compulsory courses, 32 hours of elective courses and 4 hours of digital practice in school. Upon completion of the Digital Competences in Education programme, participants earn a total of 21 ECTS credits.
The Programme fee per participant is EUR 665.00.
