Mission

The mission of the Department of Psychology is to educate future psychologists by providing them with clearly defined and measurable knowledge, professional competencies and skills. Emphasis is placed on professional versatility, preparing future psychologists for a variety of roles in the community and for teamwork with professionals from different fields and other scientific disciplines. This approach to educating future psychologists provides them with theoretical and methodological training, knowledge transfer and practical training in several areas of applied psychology, as well as preparation for scientific research.

The fundamental idea of the Department of Psychology is based on the further development of psychology as a science and profession, the social affirmation of psychology, and the preparation of psychologists for professional and responsible individual work and work within the community.

Vision: The Department of Psychology strives to become the first choice for higher education in psychology for students in the Republic of Croatia and the wider region by building excellence in all areas of its activities, including its infrastructure, staff, cooperation with the business sector, public sector and local community, as well as its international activities.
