Student Vice-Dean for the 2025/2026 academic year

At its 2nd session in the 2025/2026 academic year, held on 29 October 2025, the Faculty Council, acting on the proposal of the Student Council of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek, adopted the Decision appointing Anja Novak, a first-year student of the single-major university graduate study programme in Psychology, as Student Adviser (Honorary Student Vice-Dean) for the 2025/2026 academic year.

The Student Adviser represents the interests of students, participates in the consideration and resolution of matters relevant to the student standard, proposes measures to improve the educational process and student activities, encourages the activities of student associations, as well as cooperation between the Faculty’s Alumni Clubs and the Faculty.

Student Vice-Dean for the 2024/2025 academic year

At its 1st session in the 2024/2025 academic year, held on 16 October 2024, the Faculty Council, acting on the proposal of the Student Council of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek, adopted the Decision appointing Izabela Jagačić, a first-year student of the double-major university graduate study programmes in Sociology (teaching track) and English Language and Literature (teaching track), as Student Adviser (Honorary Student Vice-Dean) for the 2024/2025 academic year.

In addition to her studies, Izabela Jagačić actively participates in numerous extracurricular activities. Alongside serving as Student Vice-Dean, she is a member of the Student Council, the Faculty Council and the Quality Assurance and Enhancement Committee, as well as the president of Glotta, the English Studies Student Association.

Student Vice-Dean for the 2023/2024 academic year

At its 11th session in the 2022/2023 academic year, held on 20 September 2023, the Faculty Council, acting on the proposal of the Student Council of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek, adopted the Decision appointing Ana Pašalić, a second-year student of the single-major university graduate study programme in Psychology, as Student Adviser (Honorary Student Vice-Dean) for the 2023/2024 academic year.

Student Vice-Dean for the 2022/2023 academic year

Pursuant to Article 43 of the Statute of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek – consolidated text, at its 1st session in the 2022/2023 academic year, held on 12 October 2022, the Faculty Council, acting on the Dean’s proposal, adopted the Decision appointing Amanda Bobonja, a second-year student of the double-major university graduate study programmes in Pedagogy and History, teaching track, as Student Adviser (Honorary Student Vice-Dean) for the 2022/2023 academic year.

Student Vice-Dean for the 2021/2022 academic year

Pursuant to Article 43 of the Statute of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek – consolidated text, at its 2nd session in the 2021/2022 academic year, held on 10 November 2021, the Faculty Council, acting on the Dean’s proposal, adopted the Decision appointing Marija Damjanović, a second-year student of the double-major university graduate study programmes in Pedagogy and History, teaching track, as Student Adviser (Honorary Student Vice-Dean) for the 2021/2022 academic year.

Student Vice-Dean for the 2020/2021 academic year

Pursuant to Article 23 of the Statute of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek – consolidated text, on 25 September 2020, Assoc. Prof. Leonard Pon, PhD, Acting Dean, adopted the Decision appointing Petra Kolesarić, a second-year student of the double-major university graduate study programmes in Pedagogy and History – teaching track, as Student Adviser (Honorary Student Vice-Dean) for the 2020/2021 academic year (CLASS: 602-04/20-04/130, REG. NO.: 2158-83-02-20-1).

According to the aforementioned Decision

  1. The Student Adviser is a student representative selected from among the students of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek and appointed by the Dean.
  2. The Student Adviser has the following rights and responsibilities:
  • participates in the work of the Professional Board at the Dean’s invitation when matters of exceptional importance to students are discussed
  • participates in the work of the Faculty Council at the Dean’s invitation when matters of exceptional importance to students are discussed
  • proposes an activity plan to the Faculty Management with the aim of improving the organisation of the educational process and other student activities
  • acts as a liaison between the students and the Faculty Management
  • participates, as required, in graduation ceremonies, Faculty Day and the Dean’s Hour
  • encourages the activities of the Faculty’s student associations
  • encourages cooperation between the Faculty’s Alumni Club and the Faculty
  • submits an annual report to the Dean of the Faculty on student activities (activities of student associations, student journals, students’ extracurricular activities, cooperation with the Alumni Club, etc.).
  1. The term of office of the Student Adviser (Honorary Student Vice-Dean) is one year.
  2. The same student may be reappointed as Student Adviser (Honorary Student Vice-Dean).
  3. The term of office of the Student Adviser may also end earlier if
  • the Student Adviser’s student status expires
  • the Student Adviser resigns
  • the Dean dismisses the Student Adviser.

On 1 October 2019, pursuant to Article 23 of the Statute of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek – consolidated text, the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek, Full Prof. Loretana Farkaš, PhD, adopted the Decision (CLASS: 602-04/19-04/118, REG. NO.: 2158-83-02-19-1) appointing Zvonimir Prtenjača as Student Adviser (Honorary Student Vice-Dean) for the 2019/2020 academic year.

Zvonimir Prtenjača is a second-year student of the double-major university graduate study programmes in English Language and Literature – teaching track and History – teaching track.According to the aforementioned Decision

1. The Student Adviser is a student representative selected from among the students of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek and appointed by the Dean.
2. The Student Adviser has the following rights and responsibilities:

At the 1st session of the Faculty Council of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek in the 2017/2018 academic year, Tamara Mazur, a member of the Student Council of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek representing the humanities, was elected Student Vice-Dean.

The Student Vice-Dean:

  • represents all students of the Faculty and advocates for their interests, opinions, requests and proposals with the aim of improving the organisation and quality of the educational process and other student activities
  • in cooperation with other students, collects information concerning students, study programmes and the improvement of teaching, and informs the Faculty Management accordingly
  • is a member of the Faculty Council and participates in its work and decision-making
  • participates in the work of the Professional Board at the Dean’s invitation when matters of exceptional importance to students are discussed and decided upon
  • is required to inform students of all decisions adopted by the Faculty Management at the sessions attended by the Student Vice-Dean that are relevant to students
  • participates in student graduation ceremonies
  • coordinates the work of student associations at the Faculty
  • encourages cooperation between the FFOS Alumni Club and the Faculty, and
  • submits an annual report to the Faculty Management on all student activities (activities of student associations, publication of student journals, students’ extracurricular activities, cooperation with the FFOS Alumni Club, etc.).
