Web of Science (WoS)
Web of Science comprises three citation databases: Science Citation Index (SCI) with 9,200 journals from 178 scientific disciplines and more than 53 million records, Social Science Citation Index (SSCI) with 3,400 journals from 70 scientific disciplines and more than 9.3 million records, and Arts & Humanities Citation Index (A&HCI) with 1,800 journals from around the world and more than 4.9 million records.
Scopus
Elsevier’s abstract and citation database covering more than 11,600 journals.
The ERIC database combines information from two print sources: Resources in Education (RIE) and Current Index to Journals in Education (CIJE). The ERIC database contains 1.5 million records and more than 336,000 full-text documents. It also includes more than 2,000 journal titles. The database can be searched through the OVID interface.
Google Scholar
An online search engine for scholarly literature that also functions as a citation database.

The web portal of the Centre for Scientific Information at the Ruđer Bošković Institute provides a list and description of all databases available to the public in open access and those subscribed to for the Croatian academic community.
HRČAK: Portal of Croatian Scientific and Professional Journals
The Croatian Scientific Bibliography – CROSBI contains bibliographic data on the scientific and professional output of individuals within the Croatian science and higher education system.

ONLINE INTERFACES FOR ACCESSING ONLINE DATABASES
EBSCOhost is an online interface (a gateway) providing access to 375 full-text databases, as well as other popular databases from various information services.
Ei Village (Engineering Village) is an online information service offering a wide range of high-quality resources for information specialists, professionals and researchers in applied sciences. Available resources include Compendex – an engineering bibliographic database, the US Patent Office, the European Patent Office, etc.
PUBLISHER PORTALS
ScienceDirect is the world’s largest electronic collection of full-text and bibliographic information in the natural, technical and medical sciences. It is a product of one of the best-known publishers, Elsevier, and provides full-text access to more than 2,500 journals.
SpringerLink is an information service provided by Springer Verlag, offering access to scientific, medical and technical books and journals. It includes electronic and print publications by Springer and several smaller publishers, covering more than 1,200 journals. SpringerLink also provides access to 25 book collections from various fields of science.
Wiley Online Library provides online access to publications by John Wiley and Sons, Inc. The library contains 4 million articles from 1,600 journals, as well as 22,000 books in the fields of law, finance and management, computer science, geosciences, education, engineering, biological sciences, mathematics, statistics, physics and psychology.
Oxford Journals is a renowned publisher of academic and research journals whose database contains more than 350 hybrid journals (with partial open access) and more than 100 fully open access journals in the natural, medical, social sciences and humanities.
LANGUAGE PORTALS
The Croatian Language Portal is a joint project of the publishing house Znanje and SRCE and represents the first online dictionary database of the Croatian language, available since 2006.
Portal of Croatian Lexicographic Heritage
The portal is the result of the scientific project “Croatian Lexicographic Heritage and the Representation of Lexicographic Knowledge”. As part of the project, 18 dictionaries were digitized. Several dictionaries can currently be searched and browsed.

REPOSITORIES & REPOSITORY DIRECTORIES
The FFOS Repository is the institutional repository of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek, whose purpose/function is to archive in digital form the intellectual content produced by the institution. At present, as part of its archival function, the FFOS Library stores in the FFOS Repository students’ final and master’s theses in information sciences, philosophy, psychology, pedagogy, English language and literature, German language and literature, Croatian language and literature, Hungarian language and literature, and history.
OpenDOAR – Directory of Open Access Repositories
OpenDOAR is a registry or directory of repositories providing open access to scientific papers and theses, reports, doctoral dissertations and other academic content. OpenDOAR currently lists more than 6,000 repositories, including 157 repositories from the Republic of Croatia.
The DART Europe E-theses Portal is a repository of doctoral dissertations defended at more than 580 European universities in 29 European countries. The repository currently contains around 1,345,000 open access dissertations that can be searched using various criteria.
