The project “Urban (Non-)Resilience in Contemporary German-Language Prose” investigates specific factors of urban (non-)resilience and (non-)recovery in prose representations of urban space. The aim is to test the hypothesis that contemporary German-language prose depicts the lack of resilience and the disintegration of urban systems in cases where urban communities display not a sense of cohesion, but rather alienation, mistrust and other characteristics associated with a crisis of community. The project is funded by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek, and the members of the research team are Marijana Mandić (FFOS), Iris Spajić (FFOS) and Katarina Žeravica (AUKOS).
