Did you know that the monumental three-storey building of our Faculty was originally constructed as the new Upper Town Elementary School? At the end of 1888, the City Council of the Free and Royal City of Osijek adopted a decision to construct a new school building, and in the autumn of 1890 it was decided that the building would be erected at its present location. The building that today houses the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek was completed in 1895.
