doc. dr. sc. Goran Milić

Goran Milić is an Assistant Professor at the Department of English Language and Literature, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek. He earned his PhD at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek with the dissertation Humans as Domestic Animals in English and Croatian: A Cognitive Linguistic Approach, supervised by Prof. Mario Brdar, PhD.  His research interests include cognitive linguistics and its applications, primarily in contrastive studies, discourse analysis, with a particular interest in media discourse and gender linguistics, as well as the study of phenomena related to figurative language and the (translation of) language for specific purposes in English and Croatian.
