Activities and Results

WP1: Theoretical Framework of the Research 2025-2026

  1. Description of the processes of framing and figurative language in the Anglophone, German and Croatian linguistic contexts
  2. Analysis of cognitive-linguistic mechanisms in the framing process
  3. Description of the methodology for creating and analysing project (sub)corpora.
  4. Description of the methodology for critical analysis.
  5. Writing twelve (12) papers on the project topic.
  6. Editing an edited research monograph on the project topic.
  7. Publication of a research monograph on the project topic.

WP2: Research Implementation 2026-2028

  1. Creation of (sub)corpora (youth discourse, academic discourse, health discourse, political discourse, media discourse)
  2. Recording participants in order to detect creaky voice (vocal fry) in the speech of Croatian and English speakers
  3. Experimental research with native speakers (behavioural and eye-tracking methods), followed by quantitative data processing
  4. Conducting research through focus groups, interviews and surveys among primary and secondary school teachers.
  5. Quantitative and qualitative processing of research results.
  6. Creation of a publicly available database based on the research.

WP3: Dissemination 2027-2028

  1. Creation of a project website providing regular updates on the progress of project activities.
  2. Organization of a workshop for primary and secondary school teachers on applying the project results.
  3. Organization of a workshop on fake news.
  4. Organization of one research conference on the project topic.
  5. Preparation of twelve (12) presentations on the project topic for international research conferences.
  6. Publication of project research results in open access.
  7. Presentation of project results in the media.
  8. International dissemination of project results within international teaching staff mobility programmes (ERASMUS+, COST).
  9. Submission of project proposals to national and international calls.

WP4: Project Management 2025-2028

  1. Coordination of the team and activities
  2. Compliance with ethical standards and legal regulations, including obtaining all necessary approvals (ethical approvals, etc.) before using the allocated funds
  3. Budget management and reporting to the contracting authority
  4. Organization of regular (online) meetings and monitoring of progress
  5. Development and implementation of the Quality Assurance Plan and Risk Management Plan, as well as evaluation of project processes.
