Professional Practice

Second-year graduate students of Communication Studies participate in professional practice, the conditions and requirements of which are set out in the Regulations on Student Professional Practice.

Students complete 65 hours of practice (65×45 min.) in radio and television newsrooms, editorial offices of daily and weekly newspapers and magazines, tourist board offices, companies, scientific institutions and educational institutions. During the practice, they have the opportunity to become familiar with the details and procedures of journalistic and editorial work, as well as the use of the Hungarian language, and to gain experience in various forms of public communication. During the practice, they are supervised by professional mentors, and at the end of the professional practice students are required to submit the Practice Diary to the practice coordinator.

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek cooperates with the following institutions and companies where students can complete their practice: Slavonska Televizija, Osječka Televizija, HRT Centre Osijek, Új Magyar Képesújság, the Drávatáj programme, Radio UNIOS, PITOMI RADIO, Bilje Tourist Board, Educational and Cultural Centre of Hungarians in the Republic of Croatia, Glotta Institute for Language.

Students are required to enter the dates of their practice at least two weeks in advance and complete the diary in the application available at: http://sokrat.ffos.hr/ff-studenti
