We marked World Book and Copyright Day with a special exhibition presenting two giants of world literature—William Shakespeare and Miguel de Cervantes. Although they worked in different genres, the works they left behind remain among the most recognisable examples of their respective literary forms: Shakespeare’s dramas and poetry, and Cervantes’s novels.
These classics have inspired generations of literature lovers, leaving a lasting legacy and an enduring record of their time and place. In doing so, they achieved what few have managed to attain—immortality.
Visit our Library, explore the works of these great figures of world literature, and see the exhibition featuring some of their finest works.
The exhibition was conceived and prepared by student Sara Gotal.
