CALL FOR ERASMUS+ KA1 SHORT-TERM STUDENT MOBILITY UNDER THE 2026 PROJECT

Description:
Call for Erasmus+ KA1 short-term student mobility under the Erasmus+ programme, including Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) mobility.

Under Erasmus+ Programme Key Action 1, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek published the First Additional Call for Applications on 29 June 2026 for the award of financial support under project 2026-1-HR01-KA131-HED-000415038 to students undertaking mobility at foreign higher education institutions or organisations. The purpose of the stay abroad is SHORT-TERM mobility for a study period or traineeship.

All full-time and part-time students of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek may apply.

The eligible period for carrying out mobility is 1 JULY 2026 – 31 JULY 2028.

Mobility for a study period and/or traineeship may be carried out at higher education institutions or organisations in Erasmus+ programme countries (EU Member States: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden; as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, North Macedonia, Serbia and Türkiye).

All study mobility periods are based on signed inter-institutional agreements with a foreign university for a specifically defined field of study. Study mobility cannot be carried out without a signed agreement between Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek and the foreign university.

Financial support amounts (financial support consists of a daily allowance, travel costs and an allowance for students with fewer opportunities if the student applied for it)

The duration of all short-term mobility periods is a minimum of 5 days and a maximum of 30 days.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR COMPLETING THE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM:

The DECLARATION OF HONOUR is NOT required as part of the application. It is submitted when organising the mobility if the student travels using a green mode of transport. All details concerning travel allowances and types of travel are available in the Instructions for Students document.

Under the name of the study programme, enter only the programme name (for example, Marketing, Computer Engineering, etc.). It is not necessary to enter the level of study because this is entered in a separate field.

Students may apply only once within a one-month period. It is not possible to submit more than one application in the same calendar month.

The application form must also include the grade point average of all completed foreign language courses taken during higher education. This means that the average must include foreign language courses completed at undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate level, where applicable.

THE TRANSCRIPT OF RECORDS FROM THE CURRENT LEVEL OF STUDY AND THE CERTIFICATE OF STUDENT STATUS must not have been issued before the date on which the call was published. Students enrolled in a graduate or higher level of study may submit a diploma supplement as a transcript of records from their undergraduate studies.

All documents required to prove the status of a student with fewer opportunities, for the purpose of obtaining additional financial support, must be combined and submitted as a single PDF document.

All full-time and part-time students of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek were eligible to apply.

The eligible period for carrying out mobility was 15 November 2025 – 31 July 2027.

Mobility for a study period and/or traineeship could be carried out at higher education institutions or organisations in Erasmus+ programme countries (EU Member States: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden; as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, North Macedonia, Serbia and Türkiye), as well as Erasmus+ partner countries for study mobility (a list of partner countries by region is available at: https://erasmus-plus.ec.europa.eu/programme-guide/part-a/eligible-countries).

The number of mobility places available for partner countries was limited and depended on the financial resources allocated to the University.

Applicants for study mobility were expected to know where they intended to undertake mobility at the time of application because the University had to send nominations to the selected foreign university immediately after the call closed. The selected university had to have a signed agreement with Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek. Each foreign university had its own nomination deadlines. If a deadline was earlier than the closing date of the call or publication of the results, which were published within three weeks after the call closed, applicants were instructed to contact [jplesa@unios.hr](mailto:jplesa@unios.hr) so that their nomination could be submitted on time. Nominations could only be sent to universities with which an agreement had been signed for the relevant field of study.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Applicants had to complete the online application form for the type of mobility for which they were applying. It was not possible to apply for both a study period and a traineeship under the same call. All documents required for the application had to be attached to the online application form as PDF files. Once submitted, the application form could no longer be modified. Incorrectly completed forms, applications with incomplete documentation and applications submitted after the deadline were not considered.

Call for Erasmus+ KA1 student mobility for the summer semester of the 2024/2025 academic year.

Details and Full Text of the Call

Under Erasmus+ Programme Key Action 1, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek published a call for the award of financial support on 28 August 2024 to students undertaking mobility at foreign higher education institutions or organisations. The purpose of the stay abroad was a study period, traineeship or combined study period and traineeship.

All full-time and part-time students of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek were eligible to apply.

The eligible period for carrying out mobility was 15 November 2024 – 31 July 2026.

Mobility for a study period and/or traineeship could be carried out at higher education institutions or organisations in Erasmus+ programme countries (EU Member States: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden; as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, North Macedonia, Serbia and Türkiye), as well as Erasmus+ partner countries, but only at institutions with which an inter-institutional agreement could be signed. The number of mobility places available for partner countries and the number of short-term mobility places were limited and depended on the financial resources allocated to the University. Detailed information on the application requirements was available in the Instructions for Students.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR ORGANISING MOBILITY:

List of foreign partner universities and Erasmus+ agreements

Financial support amounts for students depended on the country, type and duration of the activity for which the student applied under the call and were specified in the Instructions for Students.

The duration of a study mobility period was a minimum of 2 months and a maximum of 12 months.

The duration of a traineeship mobility period was a minimum of 2 months and a maximum of 12 months.

The duration of combined study and traineeship mobility was a minimum of 2 months and a maximum of 12 months.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR COMPLETING THE APPLICATION FORM:

*GREEN TRAVEL: applicants interested in green travel had to select the corresponding field in the application form. This reserved the relevant financial amount in case the student decided to use a green mode of transport, as explained in detail in the Instructions for Students. The DECLARATION OF HONOUR did not need to be submitted as part of the application but had to be submitted before departure, prior to the preparation of the grant agreement.

*Students could select only one of the three available types of mobility and complete the corresponding section of the application form. All other tables that were not completed had to remain empty and could not be deleted.

*All categories within the selected type of mobility had to be completed. Applicants for a traineeship who had not yet arranged their mobility were required to state where they wished to go. The institution and country could subsequently be changed in the case of a traineeship. Applicants for study mobility were expected to know where they intended to undertake mobility at the time of application because the University had to send nominations to the selected foreign university immediately after the call closed, and the selected university had to have a signed agreement with Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek.

*Under the “year of study” category, applicants had to enter the year of study they would be enrolled in during the 2024/2025 academic year. All fields had to be completed and could not be left blank.

*Only the application form in Word format had to be sent by email. The other documents, together with the signed application form, had to be sent by registered post.

*The form sent by email did not need to be signed.

*The application was not valid if the duration of the mobility was not specified.

The student mobility application had to include the following mandatory documents:

  1. COMPLETED APPLICATION FORM
  2. COPY OF THE CERTIFICATE OF NATIONALITY FOR CROATIAN CITIZENS OR OTHER PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS (DOCUMENTS OBTAINED THROUGH THE E-CITIZENS PORTAL WERE ACCEPTED)
  3. CERTIFICATE OF STUDENT STATUS (NOT ISSUED BEFORE THE DATE OF PUBLICATION OF THE CALL)
  4. TRANSCRIPT OF RECORDS FOR ALL EXAMINATIONS PASSED AT ALL LEVELS OF STUDY (UNDERGRADUATE AND GRADUATE)

The electronic version of the application form had to be sent to: jplesa@unios.hr in DOC format rather than PDF. A signed copy of the application form, manually signed in all designated places, and the remaining application documents had to be sent exclusively by registered post to:

Incorrectly completed application forms, unsigned applications, applications with incomplete documentation and applications submitted after the deadline were not considered.

Applications had to be sent exclusively by registered post by the application deadline. The postmark on the application envelope could not be later than the application deadline. Applications received only electronically or sent by post after the deadline were considered invalid.
