Project associates of “Evliya Čelebi and Eastern Croatia in the Seventeenth Century”, Eldina Lovaš, PhD, and Assoc. Prof. Anđelko Vlašić, PhD, delivered presentations at the international academic conference “24th Biennial Conference on Balkan and South Slavic Linguistics, Literature and Folklore”, held in Newcastle, Australia, from 20 to 23 May 2026.
Eldina Lovaš presented the paper “The South Slavic World through the Eyes of a Jesuit Missionary: Bartol Kašić’s Missionary Journeys in Eastern Croatia, Bosnia and Syrmia” together with Ivan Armand. Anđelko Vlašić presented the paper “Evliya Čelebi as a Source for the Folklore and Linguistics of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina” together with Janja Kovač.
