The Free State of Bavaria is offering scholarships for German summer courses at Bavarian universities!

The scholarships for in-person courses cover the course fee, accommodation, and an allowance or meals at a Bavarian university. An up-to-date overview of the participating courses is available on the website:

As a requirement for applying for a summer course scholarship from the Free State of Bavaria, you must:

• be a citizen of one of the following countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Croatia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia, or Ukraine.
• at the time of application, be enrolled as a student in one of these nine countries or be engaged in academic work at a university there.
• be able to provide proof of at least two completed university semesters with grades.
• be able to demonstrate German language proficiency of at least B1 level.
• be of legal age at the time of application.
• Please note: Previous recipients of funding under this programme are not eligible to receive funding again (with the exception of recipients of funding for an online course).
