CfA: Scholarships for German Summer Courses in Bavaria 2026

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am pleased to draw your attention to the scholarships offered by the Free State of Bavaria for German summer courses at universities in Bavaria in 2026. The scholarships for in-person courses in Bavaria cover the course fee, accommodation and meals.

Students and early-career researchers from all academic disciplines with prior knowledge of German at a minimum B1 level from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Slovenia and Ukraine may apply to BAYHOST. At the time of application, students must have completed at least two full semesters at a university in their home country and be able to provide proof of this through their grades. Applicants must be citizens of one of the eligible countries.

The application deadline is 23 March 2026. Applications must be submitted exclusively via our online application form.

Further information about the application procedure and the language courses is available on the BAYHOST website and on the BAYHOST Facebook profile.

I kindly ask you to forward this call to interested parties where appropriate and/or publish it on your website or share it via Facebook. Please note that BAYHOST has a new website, which means that some older links may no longer work.

We would also be happy to send you our promotional postcard by post (please simply let me know how many copies you require and where they should be sent). The QR code printed on the postcard leads to our current online flyer, which provides an overview of BAYHOST opportunities for students and early-career researchers from Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Thank you and kind regards,

Katrin Döppe
