ENROLMENT

  1. How many times a year is it possible to enrol in PKSUN?

There is one enrolment period per academic year, which takes place in September. A notice on enrolment is published on the PKSUN website as early as the beginning of May of the current year.

  1. How is enrolment carried out?

Enrolment is carried out through the online enrolment application available at the following link: https://pksun-upisi.ffos.hr

  1. Can I enrol in person by bringing the documents to the Faculty?

Enrolment is carried out exclusively through the online application, where all required documents are uploaded as a single attachment. This means that applicants do not enrol in person by bringing documents to the Faculty.

  1. Can I enrol in the Programme if I have completed a three-year vocational secondary school programme?

Yes, a participant who has completed a three-year vocational secondary school programme may enrol in our Programme. The enrolment requirements are prescribed by the PKSUN Programme Proposal and the PKSUN Regulations and are stated in the enrolment notice. All of these documents are available on the PKSUN website.

 

CLASSES

  1. When do classes begin and how long do they last?

Classes begin in September, and the date is always stated in the main enrolment notice. Classes continue until the beginning or middle of April of the following year. The exact beginning and end dates of classes are published in the class schedule, which is available on the website before classes begin.

  1. Are all classes held online?

Yes, classes have been held entirely online in all previous cycles because this was the option chosen by the majority of enrolled applicants. The mode of teaching is determined at the beginning of each enrolment cycle according to the choice of the majority of participants (at least 70%).

  1. Can I be absent from classes?

Yes, a participant may be absent from classes. According to the PKSUN Regulations, a participant is considered to have

attended classes if they have attended at least half of the classes held for each course and have met the other requirements of the curriculum for the respective course.

  1. If I am absent from a class, can I watch a recording afterwards?

Yes, participants can watch class recordings afterwards because all classes are recorded, and the recordings are available to all participants 24 hours a day, from the beginning until the end of the enrolment cycle.

 

METHODOLOGY PRACTICE

  1. When is Methodology Practice completed?

Methodology Practice is part of the course Methodology of Practical Teaching (for Vocational Teachers and Teaching Assistants) and is completed after participants have attended all compulsory courses and the theoretical part of Methodology of Practical Teaching (for Vocational Teachers and Teaching Assistants).

  1. Can my Methodology Practice be recognised if I already work as a vocational teacher at a school?

Participants who meet the requirements prescribed by the PKSUN Regulations (Chapter VII, Article 12, Paragraph 5), available on the PKSUN website, may have their Methodology Practice recognised.

A participant may be exempt from Methodology Practice only if they have completed at least 30 working days of direct teaching in their professional field at a teaching workplace, i.e. at a school.

  1. Can I arrange my Methodology Practice myself?

Yes, participants may independently organise, i.e. arrange, their Methodology Practice at an appropriate school in their professional field, either in their place of residence or in the nearest suitable location.

 

TAKING EXAMINATIONS

  1. When do we take examinations?

Participants may take an examination immediately after completing the classes for a particular course, during one of the three examination periods.

  1. When do we register for an examination?

An examination must be registered no later than 5 days before the examination period. Participants should register for an examination only for the examination period in which they intend to take it.

  1. What if I forget to register for an examination but still want to take it?

In that case, the participant should contact Ms Ana Mihaljević. Likewise, if a participant wishes to cancel an examination registration, they should contact Ms Mihaljević.

  1. What if I do not pass the examination during any of the three examination periods?

In that case, the participant should contact the course instructor directly to arrange the examination, after which a new examination period will be scheduled.
