Fulbright Program for the 2027/2028 Academic Year
The Ministry of Science, Education and Youth, the Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes, and the Embassy of the United States of America in the Republic of Croatia have announced a call for Fulbright Program scholarships for the 2027/2028 academic year:
- Scholarships for predoctoral research lasting two semesters (9 months).
Scholarships under category (1) are intended for candidates who have obtained a Master of Science degree or equivalent and who, at the time of application, are enrolled in a postgraduate doctoral programme in the Republic of Croatia.
Application deadline: 31 May 2026.
- Scholarships for postdoctoral research lasting one or two semesters (4 to 9 months).
Scholarships under category (2) are intended for candidates who have obtained a doctoral degree prior to submitting their application.

Scholarship for Doctoral Research at the Wirth Institute, University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada
The scholarship is intended for research conducted as part of a doctoral dissertation during the 2026/2027 academic year, for a period of eight (8) months, from 1 October 2026 to 31 May 2027, at the Wirth Institute for Austrian and Central European Studies, University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada. The scholarship for the eight-month period amounts to CAD 27,600.00, or approximately EUR 17,000.00.
