“Cogito” is a Croatian-French Hubert Curien Partnership (PHC) programme in the field of science and technology. The aim of the programme is to facilitate and develop high-quality scientific and technological cooperation between Croatian and French researchers through joint scientific research projects.
Application Requirements
The Call is open to all higher education institutions and scientific research institutions in the Republic of Croatia and the French Republic. On the French side only, companies may participate provided that they are affiliated with an academic partner.
The programme covers all scientific fields, with particular attention given to projects thematically related to the priorities of the European Union set out in the Horizon Europe Framework Programme for Research and Innovation.
Under this Call, the Croatian partner submits the application to the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth of the Republic of Croatia, while the French partner submits an application for the same project to Campus France on the basis of the call published at: http://chercheurs.campusfrance.org.
At the time of application, the applicant, who will also serve as the leader of the bilateral project in the Republic of Croatia, must:
- hold a doctoral degree
- hold at least the research position of research associate, the scientific-teaching position of assistant professor, or the teaching position of professor of professional studies.
Under this Call, an individual may participate in only one project, either as a project leader or as a project associate.
Applications may be submitted in Croatian or English.
Projects that are not submitted within the prescribed deadline by both the Croatian and French partners will not be considered.
Project selection criteria:
- quality and expertise of the two research teams
- active participation and mobility of young researchers, particularly doctoral and postdoctoral researchers
- interest in cooperation and complementarity of the two teams
- prospects for further development or valorisation of the project.
Application Deadline
The deadline for submitting applications is 30 June 2026.
The results of the Call will be published by the end of December 2026, and project implementation will begin in January 2027.
