The Student Psychological Counselling Department of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek is organising an online lecture entitled “Online, Available, Connected – So Why Are We Lonely?”, which will be held on Wednesday, 27 May 2026, starting at 5:00 p.m. via the Zoom platform.
Although we are more connected today than ever before, many people simultaneously experience emotional distance, difficulties in forming close relationships and feelings of loneliness. From a psychological perspective, the lecture will address the need for belonging, relationships and intimacy in modern society, as well as the challenges young people face in forming connections today.
The lecture will be given by Sanja Diosy, MA in Psychology, a psychologist from the Student Psychological Counselling Department at FFOS, who has training in cognitive behavioural therapy.
The lecture is intended for students of all constituent units of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek.
