Faculty employees participated in the 5 km B2Run business race on 7 May 2026, the largest business and sports event in Croatia, which brings together employees from the public and private sectors with the aim of promoting health, team spirit and an active lifestyle. This year, more than 1,000 participants from a total of 89 companies took part.
The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek competed in the medium-sized companies category, and the Faculty team achieved highly notable results. A particularly valuable achievement was recorded by the Faculty’s women’s team, consisting of only four members (Habulinec, Kiš, Pavela Banai and Poljak Rehlicki), which won an excellent 2nd place among women’s teams in the medium-sized companies category. This result is even more significant considering the number of registered teams and the strong competition from numerous companies and institutions. In the overall team standings, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences finished in a high 8th place among 28 registered medium-sized companies, once again demonstrating an excellent level of team spirit, sporting motivation and commitment among its employees. In addition to the above-mentioned team members, Betlehem, Vujić and Mihaljević also contributed to the team ranking.
In addition to the team achievements, several notable individual results were also recorded. Kristina Kiš was the fastest woman in the medium-sized companies category, achieving an outstanding individual result and further contributing to the Faculty team’s overall ranking. Ruben Betlehem also achieved an excellent individual result, finishing 3rd in his category and confirming the continued strong performances of Faculty team members.
Participation in the B2Run race once again demonstrated the importance of connecting the academic community through sport, recreation and activities aimed at preserving mental and physical health. For many years, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek has actively promoted the importance of physical activity and healthy lifestyle habits, and participation in this race provided an additional opportunity to strengthen team spirit, mutual support and a positive working atmosphere outside classrooms and offices.
