The deadline for submitting activity proposals for the summer semester of the 2025/2026 academic year is 1 February 2026.
Heads of organisational units should submit proposals by email to: fuzija@ffos.hr.
Proposals should include the name of the organisational unit and the date of the meeting at which the proposal was approved, the name of the person proposing and organising the activity, the title of the activity, the name(s) of the participants and the proposed date of the activity.
The rights and obligations of those submitting activity proposals are governed by the Rules for the Organisation of the Science Popularisation Project of 16 March 2022, from which we highlight the following:
(1) Any associate or faculty member may propose an activity through their organisational unit, provided that each organisational unit may independently propose one science popularisation activity per month if the activity does not fit, in terms of its topic and format, into the Faculty’s existing science popularisation sub-series, which form part of the Science Popularisation Project’s regular programme.
(2) An activity proposed by faculty members through an organisational unit must first be approved (by a majority vote) as a proposal at a meeting of that organisational unit.
(3) In exceptional cases, additional activities may be approved if there is specific justification and prior agreement with the Committee for the Organisation of the Science Popularisation Project and the Faculty Management.
We ask all those submitting proposals to first consult the coordinators of the sub-series about the possibility of including their proposed activity in one of the established sub-series: Open Thursday, scientific inter_view, EstLab and Alumni.
The following should not be submitted in response to this call:
– activities within the sub-series proposed by their coordinators, who propose and arrange activities directly with the Committee for the Organisation of the Science Popularisation Project
– activities included in the Guest Lectures in Teaching Plan and funded through programme agreements for teaching
– activities organised as part of other programmes (e.g. the Science Festival).
