Gong invites students, activists and all interested members of the public to register for a media and digital literacy workshop in Osijek.
The workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, 21 January, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., in Room 39 at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek.
This workshop will provide all interested participants with additional knowledge, skills and tools to help them better understand the importance of media literacy and practical ways to apply it.
Media literacy skills help people distinguish reliable information from false information, understand the role of the media and use social media responsibly. This reduces the influence of manipulation, strengthens trust in credible sources and encourages active, responsible participation in democratic processes.
Through this workshop, we aim to encourage all interested participants to use the internet and media content more responsibly, knowledgeably and actively.

The workshop will be led by Gong educators Lucija Dumančić Jovanović and Milica Bogdanović.
This workshop is organised as part of the Adria Digital Media Observatory 2.0 (ADMO). ADMO is a multidisciplinary centre dedicated to fact-checking and researching disinformation narratives in the digital environment, as well as promoting and providing education in media and digital literacy.
Led by the University of Dubrovnik, ADMO 2.0 brings together nine partner organisations from Croatia, Slovenia and France: the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Zagreb, Gong, RTL Hrvatska, Presscut d.o.o., the University of Ljubljana, Oštro Slovenia, Agence France-Presse (AFP) and XWiki.
