Lecture by the Student Psychological Counselling Department: “Online, Available and Connected – So Why Are We Lonely?”

The Student Psychological Counselling Department of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek is organising the online lecture “Online, Available and Connected — So Why Are We Lonely?”, which will be held on Wednesday, 27 May 2026, beginning at 5:00 p.m. via Zoom.

Although we are more connected today than ever before, many people simultaneously experience emotional distance, difficulties in forming close relationships and feelings of loneliness. From a psychological perspective, the lecture will address the need for belonging, relationships and intimacy in modern society, as well as the challenges young people face in connecting with others today.

The lecture will be delivered by Sanja Diosy, univ. mag. psych., a psychologist at the FFOS Student Psychological Counselling Department who has completed training in cognitive behavioural therapy.

The lecture is intended for students of all constituent units of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek.

Registration is available via the link here.
