University Undergraduate Double-Major Study Programme in English Language and Literature
Duration of the Study Programme: 3 academic years, i.e. 6 semesters
Upon completing the Undergraduate Study Programme in English Language and Literature, students will be qualified to perform all jobs requiring active spoken and written proficiency in English (e.g. in administration or service industries), but not to work as teachers or translators, since specialist courses are not included in the first three years of study. Students who successfully complete the Undergraduate Study Programme in English Language and Literature will acquire solid knowledge and skills enabling them to work in various areas of the open labour market and in freelance professions, including publishing and bookselling, the media, public administration, public and private institutions involved in cultural policy and cultural mediation, marketing, public relations, tourism, and similar fields.
Upon completion of the Undergraduate Study Programme in English Language and Literature, students acquire the academic title of University Bachelor of English Language and Literature.
STUDY PROGRAMME
University Graduate Double-Major Study Programme in English Language and Literature
Duration of the Study Programme: 2 academic years, i.e. 4 semesters
The Graduate Study Programme in English Language and Literature offers three tracks: the Double-Major Teacher Education Track, the Double-Major Translation Track and the Double-Major Philology Track.
Depending on the track, students who complete the Graduate Study Programme in English Language and Literature are qualified to teach English to learners of all age groups and at all levels of language learning in public and private educational institutions of various profiles, or to work as freelance translators or in translation services and agencies, as well as translation departments of industrial, commercial, tourism and similar companies and organisations. In addition, they may apply for translation positions at institutions of the European Union and the United Nations or other international organisations. Some graduates may pursue careers in related fields such as publishing, the media or information technology.
Upon completion of the Graduate Study Programme in English Language and Literature, students acquire the academic title of Master of English Language and Literature – Teacher of English as a Foreign Language (MA) on the Teacher Education Track, and Master of English Language and Literature (MA) on the Translation and Philology Tracks.

Registration for the state graduation examinations and application for admission to the University Undergraduate Double-Major Study Programme in English Language and Literature are carried out through the National Information System for Applications to Higher Education Institutions (NISpVU), available via the website www.postani-student.hr.
