Notice on the First Enrolment Period in the 2024/2025 Academic Year

Applications and enrolment

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek is organising the first enrolment period for the lifelong learning programme Academic Writing in English in the 2024/2025 academic year. The aim of the Programme is to enable participants to acquire specific knowledge, skills and abilities required for writing professional and scientific papers at an advanced level of academic English proficiency.

Applications and enrolment begin on 4 September 2024 and end on 11 October 2024.

The following documents must be enclosed with the enrolment application:

1) application form

2) a statement confirming a self-assessed B2 level of language competence (according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

Fee and payment terms

The net Programme fee per participant is EUR 465.00 and may be paid in two instalments:

First instalment in the amount of EUR 232.50 by 21 October 2024.

Second instalment in the amount of EUR 232.50 by 21 November 2024.

The Programme fee includes teaching materials and a certificate of completion of the Academic Writing in English Programme. The minimum number of participants is 5. If an insufficient number of participants enrol, classes will not be held in the current semester.

The Programme fee is payable within 8 days after the invoice has been delivered to the participant’s home/e-mail address, to the IBAN of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences: HR8423600001102484368, payment reference number – the participant’s OIB (Personal Identification Number) or the number stated on the invoice.

 

Organisation of classes

The Programme consists of 35 hours of instruction (10 hours of lectures and 25 hours of practical exercises) delivered over a period of 7 weeks. Classes are held on Saturdays at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek. During the Programme, participants will have access to all required literature in the Library of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek.

Classes in the 2024/2025 academic year begin on 14 October 2024. The class and classroom schedule will be published on the Academic Writing in English Programme website before the start of classes. The Programme may be adapted to the individual needs of participants.
