Notice on the First Enrolment Period in the 2024/2025 Academic Year

The programme will not be held in the winter semester of the 2024/2025 academic year.

The programme is intended for higher education staff and participants outside the higher education system who wish to acquire the skills necessary to teach in German at the higher education level. The Programme offers five modules, ranging from Preparatory Module 1 to the Advanced Module. Participants with prior knowledge of German are enrolled in the appropriate module by submitting proof of previous language education together with the application form, or according to the result of the placement test.

The programme is open to persons who have completed at least a graduate degree in a field other than German studies.

The Programme awards 10 ECTS credits (Core Module 1) or 5 ECTS credits (Core Module 2 and Advanced Module).

Classes are organised in person and/or online in the (virtual) classrooms of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek, and the number of teaching hours for each module is shown in the table.

The following documents must be enclosed with the enrolment application:

1. application form

2. a copy of a document confirming the attained level of German language proficiency (certification is not required)

3. a copy of the diploma (certification is not required).

The Programme fee also includes the issuance of a certificate of completion of the German Language Learning Programme for Higher Education Teaching. The minimum number of participants per module is 3. If an insufficient number of participants enrol, the relevant module will not be held in the current academic year.

The Programme fee is payable within 8 days after the invoice has been delivered to the participant’s home/e-mail address, to the IBAN of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences: HR8423600001102484368, payment reference number – the participant’s OIB (Personal Identification Number) or the number stated on the invoice.
