prof. dr. sc. Anita Papić

Prof. Anita Papić, PhD, was born in Osijek, where she completed primary school and secondary school. In 2004, she obtained a Master of Education degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Informatics, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek. In 2009, she obtained a master’s degree in Information Sciences from the Faculty of Organization and Informatics, University of Zagreb, and in 2012 she earned her PhD in Information Sciences at the Department of Information Sciences and Technologies, University of Zadar. Her primary areas of interest include information systems, intelligent systems, information science theory, instructional design and e-learning, information literacy, user information behaviour, quantitative methods, informetrics, informatics teaching methodology, and learning analytics. She has more than twenty years of teaching experience. As part of the Lifelong Learning Programme in Pedagogical, Psychological, Didactic and Methodological Education, she teaches Informatics Teaching Methodology. In 2026, as part of the Erasmus+ mobility programme for teaching staff, Prof. Anita Papić, PhD, undertook professional training at the University of Ferrara, Department of Mathematics and Informatics, ACLAI – Applied Computational Logic in Artificial Intelligence Lab, Ferrara, Italy, which is part of the COLOURS European network bringing together nine universities, i.e. leading regional centres for innovation and research from different European regions. In 2025, she undertook professional development at the Department of Computer Science, University of Pisa (Dipartimento di Informatica, Università di Pisa), Italy, also as part of the Erasmus+ teaching staff mobility programme. In 2023, she was a visiting professor under the Erasmus+ mobility programme at the Institute of Operations and Information Systems at Karl Franzens University of Graz, Austria, and in 2017 she participated in the European Summer School for Scientometrics at Humboldt University of Berlin, Germany, within the Erasmus+ mobility programme. She has successfully participated in several international and national research and professional projects: Book Heritage in Croatian Library Collections: Challenges of Discovery and Interpretation (Ministry of Science, Education and Sports of the Republic of Croatia 122-2691220-1012, 2007 – 2013), ICT Science Lab (ESF – European Structural and Investment Funds HR.3.1.20-0017, 2015 – 2016), High-Performance Modelling and Simulation for Big Data Applications (cHiPSet) (COST Action IC140, 2015 – 2019), Digital Education for Crisis Situations: Times When There Is No Alternative (DECriS) (Erasmus+, 2020-1-HR01-KA226-HE-094685, 2021 – 2023), and she is currently an associate on the TELL – TRANS-EUROPEAN LEARNING LIBRARIES project (Erasmus+, KA220-ADU-E3064CFF, 2024-2026). She has published more than fifty scientific and professional papers and participated in international and national scientific and professional conferences. She is currently the leader of the NPOO project TECH4LIFE – Research on the Impact of (Wearable) Technology and Artificial Intelligence on Quality of Life (581-UNIOS-59, 1 October 2025-30 September 2029).
