Access to the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences through the main entrance is equipped with a ramp, and there is also an elevator for persons with reduced mobility, making all rooms and lecture halls accessible. If an elevator key is required, a written request must be submitted to the Vice-Deans’ Office (Office No. 22). Once the request has been approved, the elevator key can be collected from Office No. 4.
The Office for Students with Disabilities is managed and coordinated by Prof. Damir Matanović, PhD, Vice-Rector for Teaching and Students, and Damir Španić, PhD, Head of the Section for Student Affairs and Students with Disabilities. The Office is located on the University Campus, in the building at the corner of Hadrijanova Street and Svačićeva Street, which it shares with the Student Union of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek.
The Office for Students with Disabilities primarily operates as a central university office that provides students with disabilities with information and support at its premises and seeks to address their specific needs. Naturally, information is also available to anyone interested in studying who may be uncertain about their rights and study opportunities at the faculty of their choice.
Students can obtain information in person, by email, by telephone, or by collecting leaflets and brochures. The Office for Students with Disabilities of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek seeks to improve access to higher education by addressing the educational needs of students with disabilities and working to increase their participation.
The Office guarantees its users the confidentiality of all information provided. Office hours for students are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
