Building Dementia-Friendly Public Libraries: Theoretical and Practical Considerations

On 3 and 14 October, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek will host a free professional development programme as part of the research project “Building Dementia-Friendly Public Libraries: Theoretical and Practical Considerations” (https://demencija-pnk.ffos.hr/). The programme is primarily intended for librarians and students of information sciences, but is also open to all interested stakeholders from the local community, including family members and people caring for persons with dementia. The lecturers are Croatian and international experts who address Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia from various perspectives, including medicine, law, social welfare, psychology, communication studies and information sciences.

As the number of places is limited, please register by completing the registration form (https://tinyurl.com/3jb93u37) no later than 26 September 2022. The programme will be held in Croatian, and all participants will receive a certificate of participation.

Due to numerous enquiries from interested participants, the professional development programme at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek, held as part of the project “Building Dementia-Friendly Public Libraries: Theoretical and Practical Considerations”, will take place in a hybrid format on Monday, 3 October. The presentations will be available to remote participants via Zoom. All registered participants will receive a link through which they will be able to follow the programme.
