Notice on School Practice
for all participants of the PPDMI programme enrolled in the second enrolment period in January 2026
School Practice is a mandatory course of the Pedagogical, Psychological, Didactic and Methodological Education programme and is completed at an appropriate school corresponding to the participant’s field of study. In order to ensure a higher quality organization of School Practice completion, an online application has been created.
All participants must access the online School Practice application and complete one of the three available forms, thereby defining their status regarding the completion of this course.
This means that each participant selects one of the three available options / forms:
- form – exemption from completing School Practice
- form – participant’s independent organization of School Practice completion
- form – Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences organizes School Practice completion for the participant.
- form – exemption from completing School Practice – selected by participants who meet the conditions prescribed by the Regulations on PPDMI available on the PPDMI programme website.
Participants who are eligible for exemption from completing School Practice must, along with the completed form in the online application, attach a certificate as proof. The certificate must be officially registered, meaning that it must contain the CLASS and RECORD NUMBER, a legible signature of the school principal and a clear school stamp. An example of the certificate can be viewed HERE. The participant must also submit the original printed version of the certificate in person to the PPDMI office or send it by post to the address of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek.
Until the application closes, all participants who are exempt from completing School Practice based on the submitted appropriate certificate will see the status “verified” in the online application as confirmation of verification and exemption from completing this course. Participants who are not granted exemption from completing School Practice based on the submitted certificate in the online application will be notified in a timely manner, along with further instructions.
- form – participant’s independent organization of School Practice completion – selected by participants who wish to independently choose the school and teaching subject for which they have been qualified through their initial education.
Due to organizational reasons and the different places of residence of participants, it is recommended that participants find a school themselves and arrange the practice schedule. Participants who independently choose a school and teaching subject for completing School Practice must contact the selected school and agree that the school will appoint a mentor who is qualified in the participant’s field and enable the participant to complete all obligations prescribed by the specific School Practice form. School mentors will be compensated for their work.
- form – Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences organizes School Practice completion for the participant – selected by participants who wish the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences to organize School Practice completion at an appropriate school corresponding to the participant’s field of study and in the participant’s place of residence, or in the nearest location where an appropriate school is available.
The content of School Practice is prescribed by the special form – School Practice diary (available HERE), which the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences officially sends to all selected schools together with other documentation.

During this period, each participant may access the application several times and change their selection regarding School Practice. Any previous selection / completed form will be cancelled and deleted.
After 30 April 2026, the application will be locked and it will no longer be possible to change the entered data.

After the application is locked, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences will officially send the necessary documentation for each participant assigned to School Practice to all selected schools.
Participants will be able to complete School Practice from 11 May 2026, meaning that from that date they may contact schools for further arrangements. In accordance with the Regulations and the Study Programme documentation for PPDMI, completion of all mandatory and methodological courses is a prerequisite for completing School Practice; therefore, it is not possible to perform any School Practice activities before the stated date.
After completing School Practice, the school is also required to officially submit the completed School Practice form to the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (PPDMI office), containing all required information, signed and certified with the school stamp.
Important note: due to technical reasons, School Practice is automatically recorded as completed for all participants in the ISVU system and Studomat. Please disregard this information, as the completion status of the practice is checked only at the very end of the programme, immediately before submitting the request for the issuance of a certificate of completion of the programme.
