The deadline for submitting activity proposals for the winter semester of the 2026/2027 academic year is 1 September 2026.
Proposals should be submitted by the heads of organisational units to fuzija@ffos.hr.
Proposals submitted using the activity application form should include:
- the name of the organisational unit and the date of the meeting at which the proposal was approved
- the person responsible for the activity
- the title of the activity
- the name(s) of the participant(s)
- the proposed date of the activity.
The rights and obligations of activity applicants are regulated by the Rules for the Organisation of the Science Popularisation Project of 16 March 2022, of which we highlight the following:
- Each associate or faculty member may propose an activity within their organisational unit, whereby each organisational unit may independently propose one science popularisation activity per month, provided that the activity does not fit, in terms of its topic and format, within the Faculty’s existing science popularisation sub-series, which form an integral part of the regular activities of the Science Popularisation Project.
- An activity proposed by faculty members within an organisational unit must first be approved (by a majority vote) as a proposal at a meeting of the organisational unit.
- In exceptional cases, more than one activity may be approved if this is specifically justified and agreed in advance with the Committee for the Organisation of the Science Popularisation Project and the Faculty Management.
We kindly ask all applicants to first consult the coordinators of the sub-series regarding the possibility of including the proposed activity in one of the regular sub-series: Open Thursday, scientific inter_view, EstLab, Alumni.
The following should not be submitted under this call:
- activities organised by sub-series coordinators within their respective sub-series, as they propose and arrange activities directly with the Committee for the Organisation of the Science Popularisation Project
- activities included in the Plan of Guest Lectures in Teaching and funded through programme contracts for teaching
- activities organised as part of other programmes (e.g. Science Festival).
