Objectives of the study programme
The educational objectives of the study programme are aimed at acquiring and applying fundamental theoretical and practical knowledge in educational and psychological sciences, as well as in subject teaching methodology, and at broadening and supplementing the professional knowledge acquired during undergraduate study in the fields of Croatian Studies, linguistics, literary studies, research methodology and general cultural knowledge from the humanities and related academic disciplines.

Through the graduate study programme in Croatian Language and Literature, Teaching Track, students acquire pedagogical and subject-specific competencies required for teaching Croatian language and literature in primary and secondary schools, as well as at Croatian Studies departments abroad, professional competencies required for work in publishing and the media, for work in cultural and academic institutions, as well as for positions within the broader field of cultural, social and public activities.

Objectives of the study programme
The educational objectives of the study programme are aimed at acquiring professional and specialist knowledge in the academic field of literary theory and history, as well as supplementing and broadening the knowledge acquired during undergraduate study in the fields of Croatian Studies, linguistics, literary studies, research methodology and general cultural knowledge from the humanities and related academic disciplines.

Upon completion of the graduate study programme in Croatian Language and Literature, Literary Research Track, students acquire competencies for independent literary research, as well as for participation in collaborative work on research projects and high-quality preparation for continuing their studies in postgraduate humanities programmes. Depending on the selected professional and specialist courses, students acquire a high level of ability to apply theoretical knowledge, developed skills in participating in, organising and managing textual research, skills in academic and popular-science presentation of topics in literary studies, and are qualified for professional work in academic and cultural institutions, publishing houses, the media, museums and archives, as well as for professional positions within the broader field of academic, cultural, social and public activities.
