On the occasion of the Open Day of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek, teachers and a student representative of the Department of German Language and Literature presented the German Studies programme to secondary school graduates, along with the many activities available to students both within and outside the study programme, including excursions to Vienna and field classes in Pécs.
At our stand, students received information about the German Language and Literature programme, as well as promotional materials from the DAAD and ÖSD on mobility opportunities during their studies. They showed interest in the double-major programme and asked questions about the programme content, which were answered in detail. Additional activities such as pub quizzes, film evenings, theatre workshops and podcasts, as well as participation in the literary club, were also highlighted. Particular attention was drawn to opportunities for student employment in Austria through the Sprachassistenz programme. Student representative Mia-Sofi Mišetić spoke about the programme based on her own experience.
We look forward to welcoming new first-year students in the autumn!
