International Futures (IF)

a free, open-source forecasting platform

 

On Wednesday, 27 May 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Ceremonial Hall 39, Dr Keith Gehring, Professor at the University of Denver (Josef Korbel School of Global and Public Affairs) and a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Belgrade, will present International Futures (IF) – a free, open-source forecasting platform developed at the Frederick S. Pardee Institute for International Futures at the University of Denver. IF projects economic, demographic, health, governance, and environmental trends for 188 countries and is used by international organizations, including UNDP, UNICEF, the African Union, and the United Nations Environment Programme. The presentation will provide an overview of the platform, a live demonstration using country-specific data, and a discussion of how long-term structural trends shape national development.

The presentation will be held in English.
