In accordance with epidemiological measures, the group and silent study reading rooms have a total of 20 workspaces available on a first-come, first-served basis. No prior notice is required if participants in the Pedagogical, Psychological, Didactic and Methodological Training Programme only need to use a computer in the reading room. If they need to use books from the Library of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek while working in the reading room, a list of the required books must be sent by e-mail to knjiznica@ffos.hr 24 hours before arriving at the Library. The Library stores books at two locations, so time is required to prepare the requested items, particularly when seminar literature is concerned.

The Library offers a literature scanning service for participants in the Pedagogical, Psychological, Didactic and Methodological Training Programme who attend classes online, in compliance with copyright regulations. Parts of books (up to 20 pages), as well as scientific and professional articles, may be scanned at the user’s request. For the scanning service, please contact kmitric@ffos.hr (Kristina Kiš).

About the Services of the Faculty Library

The Library collection can be searched via the Library’s online catalogue, and Library services may be used after registering with the Library. Registration is possible in two ways: by visiting the Library in person or by sending an e-mail to knjiznica@ffos.hr. If registering by e-mail, please include the name of the training programme, the participant’s full name, participant registration number (issued by the Office), home address, telephone number and e-mail address.

Basic Library services include:

  • using library materials in the reading room
  • user education (searching the online catalogue, searching databases), etc.

Library materials may be borrowed for a period of 15 days, with the possibility of extending the loan period by an additional 15 days. After the loan period expires, a late fee of HRK 0.50 per book per day is charged.

ERIC – a bibliographic database providing access to literature and resources in the field of education
HRČAK – Portal of Croatian Scientific and Professional Journals; full-text access
JSTOR – a full-text database of journals and e-books
ProQuest – a platform providing access to full-text databases
Project MUSE – open-access e-journals and e-books in the humanities and social sciences
