Monika Ećimović, psychologist and Gestalt psychotherapist, gave a guest lecture on 6 May 2026 entitled “The Gestalt Psychotherapy Approach in Working with Clients”. The lecture was intended for first-year graduate students of Psychology. Students were introduced to the theory and practice of psychotherapy based on Gestalt principles by a licensed Gestalt psychotherapist. Ećimović is a former student from the first generation of Psychology graduates at FFOS and serves as an example to students of successful professional development and further training after completing a psychology degree. Students also received information about the types and duration of licensed training programmes leading to the professional title of psychotherapist in the field of Gestalt psychotherapy. This topic expands the course content with examples from practice presented by a licensed psychologist and psychotherapist. It also complements the planned learning outcomes of the course Psychotherapeutic Approaches and builds on the content of courses in the fields of clinical psychology and psychopathology.
